Booking a fishing charter is an exciting experience, whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner. When it comes to preparing for your trip, it's important to pack the right gear and essentials to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. This section will discuss what to bring with you on the boat when you book with The Wicked Pissah.

Make sure you check the weather forecast before your trip and pack clothing appropriate for the conditions. Even if it's warm when you depart, temperatures can drop quickly out on the water, so consider packing a light jacket or sweater.

The boat can be slippery, so it's important to wear non-slip, comfortable shoes that are appropriate for the conditions. Sneakers or boat shoes are ideal for most fishing charters.

Pack any personal items you may need during the trip, such as medication, a camera, and snacks. It's also a good idea to bring a small cooler with drinks and snacks, as many fishing charters do not provide food and drink.

Check with your charter service beforehand to see what they provide and what you need to bring.

If you're prone to motion sickness, consider packing medication to prevent or alleviate symptoms. It's always better to be prepared, even if you don't usually get seasick.

Make sure you bring a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license, and payment for your trip. Most charters accept cash, credit, or debit cards.

6 Passengers allowed by law on the Wicked Pissah, and this is regulated by the US Coast Guard.   

The boat is docked at Cape Ann's Marina Resort located at 75 Essex Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930 and ample public parking is available.

We strongly suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time.

Our goal is to provide a fun experience so we take the hassle out by providing all tackle, gear and bait.

Only a permitted fishing vessel is allowed to keep tuna. Federal laws prohibit clients from keeping tuna.  You may credited up to 10% on your next charter and have the ability to take home head steaks and tail steaks when the fish is dressed if the tuna is over 73 inches; however, anything under you get to keep so bring your coolers.

Clients are allowed to keep Haddock pending catch limits and size restrictions, and filleting and bagging is included so bring a cooler to take your catch home.

Bring your own food and beverages. Beer and wine are welcome but no hard liquor as per insurance requirements. You may bring a cooler if you would like to keep items chilled. We do not supply any food or beverage.

State laws are not applicable because the ocean is under federal jurisdiction, so ALL drugs are prohibited – including marijuana.
